Description
1985. A year many remember as just another year. What it really was, was the year that changed music on every level forever and we are still feeling its effects today. A worldwide collaboration concert. A machine viewed as nothing more than a very expensive childs toy compared to studio equipment. An artist who got rejected no less than 7 times by her own record label ended up prving them wrong and changing the industry forever. A fight against the literal U.S. government that effected the world that many claim epitomizes the song “I fought the law and the law won” yet it only proved the artists right on every level and still continues to change the world today.
1985 was not just a normal year like every other one. No. 1985 changed the world and the world of music on every level and the shockwaves and ripples are still being felt today 40 plus years later and most people dont even realize it.
Join me on my DJ, VJ, talkshow host style journey as we countdown the 13 most impactful, and stranger than fiction, events of 1985 that quite literally changed not just music, but ALL of music and the world as we know it.
